I grew up in Tampa and I’m a retired electronic technician. I embarked on my spiritual journey in 1999 when I moved to California and became involved with a Science of Mind center in Oakhurst. I was employed in various capacities as a bus driver and interpretive guide in Yosemite National Park. Having been a musician for most of my life, I provided music for the Sunday services until I departed in 2022. I have an Associate of Behavioral Studies degree from Emerson Theological Institute. I’m also a certified massage therapist and Reiki Master.

Dr. Breakey is a Pastoral Psychologist and ordained minister with over 30 years’ experience in counseling and human services.  He has successfully applied his training and wisdom in roles with the Air Force Academy, as a Hospital Palliative Care and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, in an innovative program  with the Florida Metropolitan University, and in his own private practice.

Not if we are living in a state of wonder, awe, and gratitude which allows us to see the gift in all of life’s experiences. Father David Steindl-Rast tells us that, “Even the predictable turns into surprise when we stop taking it for granted.” We’ll explore ways to find and celebrate the gift in all of life’s surprises, even those that initially appear unpleasant.
