Sunday message – Dee Daley “Embrace the Beauty of Imperfection”

Perfectionism is the relentless pursuit of flawlessness. It often leads to self-criticism and a constant feeling of inadequacy. Holmes reminds us that “the mind is a magnet and we attract that with which we identify the self.” When we focus on perfection, we attract stress and dissatisfaction. Letting go of perfectionism is a spiritual journey that requires patience and self-love. As Ernest Holmes beautifully puts it, “Expectancy speeds progress. Therefore, live in a continual state of expectancy.” Let us expect growth, love, and joy in our lives, and let go of the unrealistic standards that hold us back.
